We are the Stuarts (formerly of Imperial) now residing in Okinawa, Japan.

This blog started from a desire to bridge the miles as we were preparing to leave the USA for 3+ years. It has turned into much more. It's part travel diary, part personal reflection, part "sociology of military life" and part mommy-blog. We hope you read something here that is interesting to you (or at least not a total waste of your time).

Flashback Friday...Break A Leg!

In honor of Patrick's upcoming play, I decided today we'd flashback three years to his last play, Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing", where he played the part of villain, "Don Jon" and did a very convincing job.

Sorry the pictures are so lousy...it's the best I could do in the dark without flash (and my limited photog skillz).

Here he is during intermission. Doesn't he look evil? In a cute sort of way? On the left side is director, Susan Taylor. She did such a fabulous job!

Just like in Patrick's upcoming play here...many male parts were played by girls. I know who's who...but can you tell?

Patrick is so at home on the stage. He's always been a joy to watch. The rest of the kids went to watch him last night on opening night and said he was fabulous. We had a schedule conflict last night and tonight, so opted for closing night. They should have it down perfect by then, right? Can't WAIT to go tomorrow!
