We are the Stuarts (formerly of Imperial) now residing in Okinawa, Japan.

This blog started from a desire to bridge the miles as we were preparing to leave the USA for 3+ years. It has turned into much more. It's part travel diary, part personal reflection, part "sociology of military life" and part mommy-blog. We hope you read something here that is interesting to you (or at least not a total waste of your time).

Piano Recital...Christmas Edition

The Christmas piano recital is my favorite kind...so I was glad to hear that Melene also does a recital at Christmas time. Unfortunately, Patrick is really sick so he had to miss out (not that he minded, I'm sure). Some kids will do anything to get out of having to practice!

Jake introducing himself and his pieces.

And a little taste of how he sounded:

Coree introducing herself and what she'll be playing.

And a clip of her performance, too:

Lucky for Troy, my memory card filled at this point, so I had to delete a couple of pics really quick in order to at least get a photo of him playing:

But unfortunately there wasn't enough room for more video, dang it! He played "Oh Holy Night" and did a great job.

I love it when the teacher performs, too.

We love you, Melene! Thanks for a great year.
