We are the Stuarts (formerly of Imperial) now residing in Okinawa, Japan.

This blog started from a desire to bridge the miles as we were preparing to leave the USA for 3+ years. It has turned into much more. It's part travel diary, part personal reflection, part "sociology of military life" and part mommy-blog. We hope you read something here that is interesting to you (or at least not a total waste of your time).

Christmas Morning 09

Anatomy of Stuart Christmas morning 2009:

(Total shocker, BTW...he knew I wanted one, but I certainly didn't expect it! I love this man.)

Kung-Fu. The entire series. Yes, I've just sentenced myself to 65+ hours of this. You're welcome.

Ralphie had a bunny suit...Cliffie has a monkey suit.

And a new Nike running suit.

Patrick got his Letterman jacket! (although it didn't make it in time...so these pajamas will have to do in the mean time). Troy got his, too (pajamas with a Letterman jacket order form)...but somehow I missed that photo.

Kitty wants us all to remember the gift that she is to the world.

Cliff is such a good sport. I saw this at Jusco on clearance with some other adult-sized animal costumes. (Only it was in the women's lingerie dept...not sure what that means.) Anyway, I knew I had to have it just for the gift-opening impact. It didn't disappoint. It was only icing on the cake that he actually donned the thing.

One of many new Webkinz

A special football ornament from Germany. Do they play football there?

I've seen Troy doing that new "Jerk" dancing that's all the rage. He's pretty good. Uncle Justin...hope you are practicing for the rematch!

This might be the last Christmas she gets the American Girl dress. *Sigh*

Coree LOVES "Where the Wild Things Are" and wishes it was already out on DVD. This ornament will have to do.

Patrick loves his ornament, too!

Can't wait to see how her artwork progresses with her new pastels and watercolor pencils!

Sweet Brownie waiting so patiently for her rawhide cane.

Merry Christmas, bad dog.

Doesn't Kitty look thrilled to open her stocking?

Wow...she's thrilled now:

And holiday scones with hot cocoa to round it all out.

Merry Christmas!

HI Carrie,

Great pics...you better start scrapbooking or you'll be buried in pictures and need a new computer to keep all those pictures.

But the real reason I'm writing, you got an Iphone?!?!?! What has this world come to? I'm thinking this O4 thing has gone to your head. Heaven help us when Cliff makes O5!!! And here I'm still waiting to upgrade my phone plan to start texting...ala our Christmas letter. But we did get a Wii and I did get Satellite radio for Christmas.

Miss you,
The Lovely Lisa Lamont

LOL! NO it isn't an iPhone...I guess I should have specified. It's an iPod touch. iPhones are only available here through the crappy cell phone company that doesn't get reception inside these cement houses. We use another company. Wish you were here for a scrapbook night!
