I figured it was about time that I did another car post since I had a few saved up. I love the randomness of Japanese car names:
The "Dunk"? Seriously?! Is it because these are so little they are dunkable...or are you a dunk if you drive one?
Oh, I get it...it's a theme. I guess I haven't come across the Cappuccino, the Biscotti, or the Scone yet.
I love the irony in that these "elves" are some of the biggest vehicles you will find on Okinawa.
"Jaca-con...Jaca-con, Jaca-con..."
"Jaca-con, let me rock you, let me rock you, Jaca-con...let me rock you, it's all I wanna do."
(OK...so this isn't really the name of a vehicle...it's a company. But I couldn't resist.)
So...is this "Alf-ard" or "Alp-hard"? Burning questions.
I couldn't get this one in focus on the move...but it's a Laputa...which is also the name of Miyazaki's "Castle in the Sky"...and in Spanish...never mind...DON'T look it up in Spanish.
Going along with the Spanish theme...This is the "Booger"
So...so far we have a crude insult, a booger and now a fool. What is it with the fixation on undesirable, Spanish names for cars here?
The Wish. As in, "I wish I had a Mustang"?
I don't know why...but this one creeps me out a little. I'm seeing matching Nike running suits and purple sneakers. "Join us...for the ride of your life."
While this one is totally random, I can think of nothing particularly clever. Any takers out there?
Funny...in a country with less tolerance for DUI than the USA (seriously...if you drive after gargling mouth wash you are liable to blow positive here), I am very surprised people are driving around in these fancy "Royal Saloons". Kind of a mixed message, I think.

I enjoyed this! Will Cypha? Is that sort of like texting and driving at the same time?
