We are the Stuarts (formerly of Imperial) now residing in Okinawa, Japan.

This blog started from a desire to bridge the miles as we were preparing to leave the USA for 3+ years. It has turned into much more. It's part travel diary, part personal reflection, part "sociology of military life" and part mommy-blog. We hope you read something here that is interesting to you (or at least not a total waste of your time).

Flashback Friday...Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay

Our snorkeling trip yesterday got me to thinking about my first experience with snorkeling...my graduation trip to Hawaii.

This was the place...Hanauma Bay

I didn't have an underwater camera, so I don't have any actual snorkeling pictures, but here we are on the beach after we were done. Man, I was white. Believe it or not, I'm even whiter now.

I thought I'd share a few more pics from that trip. Here I am jumping off of a cliff, which I did several times. It was a highlight!

And here we are at the Arizona Memorial. It was awesome, and I'd love to go there again.

Of course, we stopped at the Polynesian Cultural Center. This cutie was paddling our boat (and floating mine, if you know what I mean...I'm just sayin'!).

Unless you are new to this blog, you've already seen this one. This was a good time...our sunset dinner cruise.

And finally, our motley crew, waiting to leave for the airport to catch our plane back to the real world. It was a great experience, and I'm SO glad one of my teachers talked me into going instead of buying a car. Cars come and go...memories last for a lifetime!
