We are the Stuarts (formerly of Imperial) now residing in Okinawa, Japan.

This blog started from a desire to bridge the miles as we were preparing to leave the USA for 3+ years. It has turned into much more. It's part travel diary, part personal reflection, part "sociology of military life" and part mommy-blog. We hope you read something here that is interesting to you (or at least not a total waste of your time).

Another Christmas Party

'Tis the season of Christmas parties. Lots and lots of them. And we don't even get to attend all of them, because of scheduling conflicts.

This was the MWHS-1 family party. Our kids were SO excited, knowing they would have friends their age there. The military is full of little kids, but is a little lighter on the teenage end of the spectrum.

The highlight of the party? With this crowd, it's not Santa, anymore. It's Sumo-wrestling!

Jake and Nate...mano-a-mano. (or boyo-a-boyo)

Hilarious.

Pretty evenly matched.

This time red (Nate) is on top.

Jake comes back for the win!

Funny to contrast the suits on the 12 year-olds, vs. the 18 year-olds.

Deven says, "Bring it!"

Get a load of the fun, in action.

Troy won, only because Deven got a nose bleed so they made them stop.

Merry Christmas. Peace, out!
