When I heard about Cliff's imminent deployment, this was one of the things I was most bummed out about...I knew he'd be getting promoted during the time he was gone. After missing his last promotion (I'm not bitter or anything!) this didn't seem fair. Thanks to Cliff's boss out there (for thinking of it, unsolicited) and Cliff's unit here (for making sure it all happened) I didn't have to miss it after all!
Isn't technology wonderful? Here's the call to attention...
Swearing of the oath (followed by the drinking of the Kool-Aid)...
Pinning on his new rank (which would have been my job!)...
Followed by heart-warming remarks by the Colonel...(it's always nice to hear someone else say nice things about your husband).
Then the fun part...they cleared both rooms so that we could have a chance just to visit as a family. This was fabulous since we've only gotten Skype to work for us once over there. It was so great to see him.
A close up of the goods! (Show me the mon-eh!)
One nice thing about Cliff being deployed...I got all the promotion gifts!
Maybe someday we'll Photoshop Cliff into this one!
Congratulations LCDR Stuart!

much better than Jared's deployed promotion, he did it at a bus stop before going to work. At least he took a picture....I think
OUTSTANDING!! These kinds of things make me miss my service days so much! That is just such an achievment to stay on that upward track all these years. WELL DONE, LCDR Stuart!!!
