We are the Stuarts (formerly of Imperial) now residing in Okinawa, Japan.

This blog started from a desire to bridge the miles as we were preparing to leave the USA for 3+ years. It has turned into much more. It's part travel diary, part personal reflection, part "sociology of military life" and part mommy-blog. We hope you read something here that is interesting to you (or at least not a total waste of your time).

Sunset in Paradise

We couldn't find another place to eat on the drive back...so we ended up going back to the beach where we started on Torii. There, we enjoyed dinner (burgers) and entertainment (this gorgeous sunset).

Just a few hours earlier this beach was bustling.

Now we had it practically to ourselves.
(And by the way...I adore this man!)

Jake impressed us with his snorkeling prowess...

What a cutie!

Wow, it is so amazing. How blessed you are to be able to sample life outside the US! Don't I wish I had a ton of money - I'd come visit!

Excellent photographs, Carrie. Are some framed prints in the works? Very nice!
