Happy New Year, everyone! I know it is only New Year's over here right now, but you'll be there before you know it!
We have been discussing a new feature, but struggling with how to do it tastefully and respectfully. We have been having SO much fun seeing how certain phrases are translated into English...some just use a bit different sentence structure then would be common in the USA, and some are just downright baffling as you try to search out their intended meaning.
The boys wanted to call this segment "Engrish." I did not want to risk offending our international audience (since this is just supposed to be a fun examination), so we will call it "Lost in Translation." I have been photographing interesting tidbits, and I'll share them here with you. To start, one of our favorites so far (you may have to click on the photo to enlarge in order to read this). This comes from the 100 Yen Store, which is a religious experience (and I haven't even been to the big one yet!)...

Stay tuned for more...
