We are the Stuarts (formerly of Imperial) now residing in Okinawa, Japan.

This blog started from a desire to bridge the miles as we were preparing to leave the USA for 3+ years. It has turned into much more. It's part travel diary, part personal reflection, part "sociology of military life" and part mommy-blog. We hope you read something here that is interesting to you (or at least not a total waste of your time).

Flashback Friday...Stay Tuned!

Sorry I'm missing Flashback Friday...if I had planned ahead, I would have uploaded some flashback photos to my laptop before we left.

We are having a great time already.
Our speaking assignment at BYU went pretty well last night...we had dinner with some old friends and the kids are loving our Residence Inn suite. We're off to visit my brother and his family this morning...the cousins are chomping at the bit!

Tonight it's off to the opening banquet on the 26th floor of the Church Office Building...and that is where all the sweet reunions take place...lots of hugs, and "where are you stationed now, how are the kids", etc. We look forward to it every year.

I'll have lots to post when we return, and I'll continue with Flashback Friday next week!

Have a great weekend!
