Flashback Friday!
In looking back on all the cute photos we've collected over the years, I was wishing that I had started this blog long ago. If only the WWW was available when Troy was born! Anyway, this is what I came up with. I hope you enjoy the journey back in time each week as much as I do. Today's theme (Motherhood is Messy) is seen in the following snapshots:

Isn't it funny how kids' personalities are visible from the beginning? This photo pretty much sums up Coree...she is so full of life, love and sass!

Isn't this priceless? It was my own fault. This is the dining room, and it is open to the livingroom...where I was folding laundry and watching TV. As soon as I noticed the silence, I jumped up and ran around the corner, knowing that what I'd find would NOT be good. I couldn't help it...I could barely scold them, I was laughing so hard. I had to take a picture first before cleaning it up (which wasn't as bad as it seemed). I couldn't tell for sure, but I think that Jake painted the wall, while Coree painted Jake. SOOO glad I invested in that art table and all of those cool supplies! This is NOT the picture that was on the outside of the box!

Coree still holds a grudge over this one! (See the name on the Ziploc bag.) In reflecting on these last two photos, I think an alternate theme for this post might have been "Silence is Deadly".
Happy Halloween!

For the love of Buttercream, who thought of this tradition?! I got suckered into it 4 times...Patrick was the only one who was reluctant to dive in, although he eventually succumbed, too. (If I wasn't being lazy today and using only photos that are already scanned into my computer from other projects, I'd post them all here...but this one will have to represent!) On this particular day, I didn't even have to clean up the aftermath...uberfriend Deana bathed him for me. (And taught me the trick of adding Dawn to the bathwater...cuts through the grease like magic! Wouldn't that have been nice to know with #1...not #4?! Oh well...when we know better, we DO better.)
I would LOVE to see others start the same thing on their blogs...maybe we could spread it through the week so that on any given day, I could step back in time with someone?
