We are the Stuarts (formerly of Imperial) now residing in Okinawa, Japan.

This blog started from a desire to bridge the miles as we were preparing to leave the USA for 3+ years. It has turned into much more. It's part travel diary, part personal reflection, part "sociology of military life" and part mommy-blog. We hope you read something here that is interesting to you (or at least not a total waste of your time).

Pizza Potluck

This time, for "Homemade Pizza Fast-Sunday", instead of making one big pizza and listening to laments about what I did or did not top it with, I divided the dough into six pieces so everyone could make their own.

As you can see, toppings and shapes varied...caramelized purple onions, fresh tomatoes, olives, pineapple, Canadian bacon, fresh basil, artichoke hearts and cheese.

Can you guess whose is whose? And have I posted my awesome pizza crust recipe yet?

Should I hazard a guess that you would be the healthy looking pizza with lots of green and not so much cheese..?!

Ding, ding, ding! You win the prize, Gina! I think we'll be doing this again next time. Luckily, we have enough cooking stones to go around!
