Every spring, on the weekend of the Father/Son Campout through church, Coree and I have the opportunity for girl bonding time (you know...pedicures, shopping, etc.). This year, we got a bonus bonding session. Cliff and Troy were leaders for the Okinawa Scout Jamborette which Jake was attending with his Scout Patrol. Patrick was attending youth conference for the 14-17 year old American LDS kids on the island. What were we to do?

Of course, it would involve shopping and food. We had a lovely dinner at Gen, followed by ice cream at BR-31 in American Village. Then some window shopping.

This pancake van is new since we were here last. A pancake van? Groovy. I've seen it all now.

The next morning, we had a full-on, girlie breakfast, complete with china. And I cooked ALL the bacon for us, even though it was enough for the whole family (no, we didn't eat it all). Molly provided the sunflowers. She's so sweet. She brought them by a couple days ago when she heard the news about April.
Right when we sat down to eat, Troy walked in the door. He had gotten a ride home with one of the leaders who was returning early. Troy was hoping to some how make it to a football game at the high school, so he jumped at the chance. He walked in, saw our breakfast spread...then starting backing away, saying, "Ohhhh....I'm interupting your girl-time, aren't I?!"
We let him stay, though...boy cooties and all.
