We are the Stuarts (formerly of Imperial) now residing in Okinawa, Japan.

This blog started from a desire to bridge the miles as we were preparing to leave the USA for 3+ years. It has turned into much more. It's part travel diary, part personal reflection, part "sociology of military life" and part mommy-blog. We hope you read something here that is interesting to you (or at least not a total waste of your time).

Ogden in the Fall

Saturday we said our sad goodbyes and headed back north to spend some time with my dad and Garrie. We had an awesome dinner at a BBQ restaurant Saturday night, and after church on Sunday, Cliff and I had to take a drive up the canyon to get a closer look at the fall colors.

We took the old Snow Basin road in and the new one out. It was a lovely loop.

There was no good place to pull over where the colors were the best, but we did make a few stops in order to fulfill a request.

Garrie had been sent a flat Stanley from Texas and needed some scenic pics.

I think we did alright.

Garrie's really clever and I'm sure she made up some good stories to go along with his adventures.

Probably something involving buffalo. Or bikers.

I think I might take some of these back with me for some home decor. Though, it'd be my luck, I'd get snagged in customs and arrested for bringing in non-native, invasive plant species. Nevermind. This pic will have to do.
