Jake turned 10 last Sunday, so on Monday (before we headed to San Diego, the night before Cliff left!) we celebrated at the classiest place the Imperial Valley has to offer...the new bowling alley!
Jake and Friends celebrated his first decade how most any boy would like to...by 'virtually' blowing each other to bits in a laser tag duel.

Missing from these photos...a birthday cake! Mom and Dad swore up and down it was listed as part of the package. They swore up and down they haven't offered that since the first week they were open, several months ago. Maybe we got an old brochure? Anyway, Jake was happy with his birthday Icee! Cake is SO overrated.
Each kid had 40 tokens to blow...and lots of cool stuff to spend those tickets on!
Then it was time for the presents...
We gave Jake his present (a Nerf Vulcan) before the movers came. It's the size of a 50 cal., so we really couldn't pack it in his suitcase. I thought he was going to cry when all of his Nerf projectile producing products were crated up...then Eli saved the day with this beauty. The darts actually whistle as they whiz past your head...and a nice compact size, too!
Happy Birthday, Jake...now we have NO single digit midgets!

Nope, lol, it was still there, darn it! I tried to get the kids to pool their tickets, but they insisted on squandering them on Chinese fingertraps, parachute men and whoopie cushions. NO taste!
